When they meant to pray for courage, let them really be trying to feel brave. When they say they are praying for forgiveness, let them be trying to feel forgiven. Teach them to estimate the value of each prayer by their success in producing the desired feeling; and never let them suspect how much success or failure of that kind depends on whether they are well or ill, fresh or tired, at the moment….

in Your beauty alone.
there is something i thought was beautiful. i thought it was pretty on me. but God made it known to me that to Him, it stunk.
and again, i’m reminded that whats important is how God sees me, not how others see me or even how i see myself.
and again He asks me whether my beauty is found in Christ or found in me.
and again, i lay down my crowns in repentance at the feet of the Humble King… found in Him again.

ASSASSIN Day 1: paranoia.
do you ever get the feeling…
that you’re being watched?
that you’re being plotted against?
the friends around you can’t be trusted…
and even when you do trust them…
you’re only waiting for the moment they’ll turn on you.
the innocent little faces just waiting for a chance to attack…
the day is almost over…
and the fact, that i’m still alive, is the scariest part…
the fact, that i’m still alive, is killing me.
